Donate Furniture

When a homeless person gets a room or apartment, often he/she moves in with only the clothes on their back.   One of the important services provided by OTS is to supply them with a complete set of furniture and household items. Most people coming off the streets move into rooms or small apartments.   There is very limited space, and they have basic needs. In general, items most in demand are:
  • Twin mattresses, box springs and metal frames
  • Dressers
  • Small kitchen tables and chairs
  • Microwave ovens
Please note that we do not have resources to pick up furniture and household goods donations Due to the generosity of our many donors, we currently have an ample supply of furniture and household goods.   Therefore, we are not accepting furniture or household good donations at the present time.   1st Saturday collections at the Bethel United Methodist Church are cancelled for August and September. Furniture collections are the first Saturday of each month from 10am to 12 noon behind the United Methodist Church 141 Greenwood Ave in Bethel.   Please note that since many of the people we help move into rooms and small apartments with limited access, we do not accept full/queen/king size beds, loveseats, couches, entertainment centers and other large furniture items.     If you want to donate these, we suggest you contact:
